The idea for Altara emerged from a simple, repeated frustration: the car seat cover market was dominated by bulk-manufactured products that looked like afterthoughts — bulky, poorly fitted, visually offensive against any considered interior.
The alternatives were custom upholstery at a prohibitive cost, or nothing at all. Neither was acceptable. There had to be a third option — a product that delivered premium protection and genuine aesthetic refinement, without the permanence of a full reupholster.
"We spent months sourcing materials, engineering the attachment system, and refining the silhouette. The goal was a cover that looked like it belonged — as if the car had always been this way."
The MagFit system was the breakthrough that made it possible. A magnetic attachment architecture that holds with absolute conviction, installs in under two minutes, and leaves no trace when removed. For the first time, premium seat protection was reversible.
Altara launched with two colourways — Midnight Black and Contrast White — each designed to complement the tonal range of the modern vehicle interior. Both are produced to an identical standard, with no hierarchy between them.
